Bikram Yoga or Hot Yoga Bikram yoga is a type of yoga, which
includes a series of 26 poses performed in a hot room. Bikram
yoga is also known as "Hot yoga." It was created by Bikram
Choudhury. Born in Calcutta in 1946, Bikram began Yoga at the
age of four with Bishnu Ghosh, the younger brother of
Paramahansa Yogananda.
Bikram Chuodhury developed his own version of Hatha yoga, which
includes a tightly scripted sequence of 26 positions and two
breathing exercises. Bikram yoga is generally practiced in a
room at a temperature of 105 degrees Fahrenheit or even higher.
For this reason it is also known as hot yoga.
The idea behind this is that the heat will help in loosening of
muscles, improving flexibility, and increasing your heart rate.
